my heart is in pain for Haiti...

The photos are overwhelming on my TV and the poor people are without shelter and the feeling of helplessness in heavy on my heart. I have a wonderful young friend Jessica Phellps who is a photographer from Newark who traveled to Haiti to document the Doctors Without Borders. Her photos are priceless and this already poverty stricken country was blessed through the lens of her camera. Our community here has several connections with missions and schools there and I am waiting to hear if I can send some sort of assistance to these families. I am hoping the UN will be able to get the supplies and water there by ...well...by now. I have seen that the airports are without electricity so landing has to be difficult and honestly sounds totally impossible. Seeing the children alone and completely covered in dust without food or water...my heart is breaking.
Human beings are so fragile and the humanitarian aid needed in this catastrophe and crisis seems overwhelming...my prayers are with these gentle people. Please angels gather up your angels and spread your wings over this humble people struggling to survive. Our nations response needs to be immediate and assist in every way possible. 2. We had a group of volunteers that just returned from there. They were on the news last night talking about turning around and going right back. It's getting back that's the difficulty right now. So very sad. :)Bea
