a winter thaw and sunshine...

We attended a special Baptism ceremony for an eight year old ...after we first went to the wrong church we were just down the street so we were still on time. The service was intimate with inspirational music and affirmations from his loving mother and baptized by his dedicated father. A circle of love created a celebratory united front to support this young dedicated family. The children in the congregation participated and sang their praise and Parker 's family gathered around to bless and confirm this young man who said "all things are made better through prayer"..Out of the mouth of babes...couldn't major country and governments learn a thing or two from this young spirit. Sometimes faith is made visible to the rest of us if we stop to really see the power of love and truth through the eyes of innocence. I felt blessed to be there in the presence of a sacred sacrament.
Tonight we had our "present" special dinner with two other couples who are dear friends. A little wine...french onion soup, deep green spinach salad, Cornish hens, mashed potatoes, asparagus with olive oil and sesame seeds, sweet pea pods with almonds and a freshly baked lemon meringue pie. Good foods handmade for a special dinner with special dear friends. May I share my blessings with you dear readers who support my journey as an artist.
Tomorrow is Secret Sundays at Seth Apter's "The Altered Page"...there are many gifts to be shared here with a collaboration of over 125 artists from around the world. More blessings to be shared on a quiet moment on a Sunday morn. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
