the roof is almost complete.... whew that was a lot of money...whewee

The young men were working in a very cold breeze today and the work is coming to a close. I left to have some peace and quiet and it gives me a good reason to go shopping for art supplies!

We hit Hobby Lobby for JoAnn to buy canvas for all mediums and her water color soluble crayons to use on her quilts and we did enjoy the clearance wall. We went downtown to visit the LCA gallery so she could see the works in person...especially Tony Reynold's wood working art pieces. We went in to see Kathy Anderson's painting exhibit at Liz Argyle and then went to Memory Lane in search of textiles and special storage units. Tom La Blanc is closing his "Just in Time" shop at the end of November and I will miss him and Nancy terribly...I have found some affordable treasures in his never ending collection of memorabilia for mixed media. After the post office we headed home to catch our breath before Ken came home from school so....I guess I won't be working tonight for very long... we are exhausted!!! I will catch up with you all tomorrow with some of my latest new treasures. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  1. Great to see you yesterday! I bet you're glad to have the roof done. When I had mine done the noise was terrible, I had to leave. It was very nice to meet Joann, hope you guys have a wonderful visit.

  2. New art supplies? Wow, that's about like getting a new box of crayons for the first day of school. I love it when supplies come in containers and not plastic. I like the opening up of them and the element of ooooooooooohhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, you know? :)Bea
