I am back....the worst is over and even tired I made it through the whole day....

Thursday and the day flew by so quickly. The sky was overcast and the snow flurries fluttered on and off all day. I arrived to the studio to a dozen questions ...who...what...when...where... how... did I think I could take off two days in a roll??? If they only knew how badly I wanted to be up and at my worktable. I had lunch with a wonderful woman who is learning how to use her new toy...her Ipad at the a golden age from her daughter. I had some wonderful chicken noodle soup and saved my half sandwich for later for dinner. We went back to the theater and she helped me put up the last four large quilts and adjusted the arrangement a tiny bit. Marilyn then gave me a private tour of this community theater's intensive costume collection and the rooms were like a labyrinth with dressing rooms, collections, accessories etc. I could have spent the whole afternoon touching the exquisite silks and textures and buttons and oh the collection of uniforms and old patterns...I was in a heaven of my own. I went back to the studio to write a couple bills and headed to the post office and then ran a quick walkabout my favorite Michael's and picked up the newest editions of Somerset Studios and Belle Armoir....now I am in heaven.

At six I had been invited to a fused glass jewelry party by the staff at the Works with the newest glass artist Larry Tuber. I am so excited to have them fired and then cured in the second oven...this time I chose a home/house theme with diachronic glass accents in a round form or shape. I love doing this type of free exercise...it just gets the juices flowing for me and really the whole room of about 50 women. We ate and drank and shared our stories. I share my Erin's "Three Children and a Kitchen's" homemade and delicious caramels she is making as a her creative expression of love from her heart. I passed out her cards and and encouraged them to give her feedback and let them know I would have them available in my studio for Valentine's Day for a quick delicious treat for someone you love. I came home and asked Ken to photograph me wearing the necklace I had ordered from Baroness Bijoutery to celebrate the announcement of the coming of her first great grand child. I do not usually buy jewelry for myself but I fell in love with the sparkle and pearls. I hope you can see how beautiful it is in the photographs. I am tired now and need to get to bed... thank you for all the love and support during the last five days. Holy Molly I was really out of it. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
