please give us your impressions...

Ken has been busy working on the informative dvd to help demonstrate the different processes and design elements that go into making my works. Little by little we will add music and images and photos to play when the gallery is open but I won't be able to be there. Please give us your feedback and recognize we have never done this before but in theory we could loop the play cycle for a more informative interactive approach in the gallery experience.

It was a gray day with cold rains and March madness ruled the roost....different family members called long distance and the University of Kentucky had a great game over Mississippi while later Ohio State University won over Minnesota. Brackets are being completed and I just look and I think whew that looks like a lot of work filling that out....so I will cheer for Ken's teams! Lazy but oh so practical from my point of view. I had a restful day and spoke to family members with reassurance that the work will be done before I know it and rest and naps are my friends for the moment.

Have a great evening with your family and please be sure to check out Seth Apter's The Altered Page post for Secret Sunday as he has shared some interesting information and joyful aspects of artists lives. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  1. Very nice! What I love about this is that the same holds true for my favorite art - the creation of music...

    Love you and Ken...

  2. Ok.........wow......Ken, what a great job you did.
I love the background music. It sets the tone to sit back and relax. If this is going to be in a gallery then please make sure there are some chairs for people who can't stand for long (like me) to be able to sit and thoroughly enjoy this.
I got a little misty eyed when I saw your January Wolf Full Moon creation. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that it is in there. It's gorgeous.
Sometimes the lime green words were hard for me to see BUT that could just be my computer or my eyes.
Ken you gave us such a wonderful glimpse into Mary Helen's creative journey. Thank you. And, Mary Helen you KNOW that I continue to hold you in my thoughts, prayers and meditations and that the energy and healing light goes out on a continuous loop, to you. :)Bea

  3. I love it! The music draws me in and holds me. I especially like the pictures of you working...I can imagine myself across from you in conversation...I miss that so much! As the images of materials crossed the screen I could see you at the Will and other shops selecting different elements to add to pieces. You and Ken make a great team! Just like the pieces you create, you both compliment each other in an extrodinary way. Please remember dear friend that you and Ken are in my prayers this week as I am sure you are in many. You don't know how many people you have touched with your gentle kindness and love. You are inspiration to us all.
I thank God for day that He crossed our paths!
    Love, Vickie

  4. No one succeeds alone and I would be lost without having Ken as my muse and go-to-guy for feedback. Vickie I miss those talks across the table...in our intimate LCA gallery. This collaboration is one where if I can not be there to converse with my viewers...young or small...a quiet place to reflect as they on my work. I love using antique fibers with a story all on their own from my mother and grandmothers plus using anonymous women's handwork that has discarded and recognizing their quiet meditative works at the end of their busy day of working and caring for the families, farms, and the community's growing needs. The music is Someone to watch over me...one of my parents favorites and don't we all need to watch over each other. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
