Saying goodbye to some pretty inspirational people........

Lilly Pulitzer...Margaret Thatcher....Annette Funicello ... and 40 years ago Pablo Picasso died.  Lilly inspired me very early in my life to love and wear colors!  Bright colors!  Easy, comfortable cotton clothes... a simple shift was all the rage in the 1960's.  Margaret Thatcher was a strong and powerful world leader...she faced and debated with the toughest of world leaders.  Annette Funicello fought for the last  25 years her personal battle with MS.  But who did not want to be like her on Beach Blanket Bingo....with Frankie Avalon!  may you all rest in peace.......you have brought such Joy, Leaderships and inspiration to a young, awkward 10 year old girl living on Terry Road in Louisville, KY.  Yes it has been 40 years since we lost the inspirational artist...Pablo Picasso.  I have to say he is in an icon in our contemporary Art world today....there are influences in our society and education developed over the years and into the future.

I had a busy day with the studio today.... Candice and I worked and solved ...well Candice solved  the problems we discovered during the process during our afternoon with the printer.  Yes some color adjustments....saturation's... sizing and cropping of the variety of images.  I was doing the happy dance when we got the final image desired.  I took some photos...so hopefully you will enjoy our previews.

the daffodils are now blooming ....
I love the simple gifts  of Spring..........
Michelle is explaining a new process she is working on...
Garrett is thinking......ah this might work for me in a different project....
YES the printer is working .... can you see the cactus coming to life......?
one after another ...the images came into view..........
Candice will be graduating in a matter of weeks...she is ready for the big world..............she and her mother have plans developing their own website/antique/Paris inspired /flea market catalog...she will do well....
Now I have a lot of work to do...putting the oil marks...stitches...beads... and layers to create my Whispers of Desert Flowers.....
and then there is Messy Monkeys on Thursdays.......
thank you for visiting my blog post....  have a great week in your studios.  Imagine and Live in Peace,  Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  1. Yes, all those who passed were inspiration to many. Seems we are getting that age where many of our friends and people who inspired us are now passing. Kind of strange isn't it.

  2. I feel the same as Yvonne, too many who seemed ageless are now passing. We can keep them alive by honoring their inspiration. Thank you, Mary Helen.
