Happy Birthday Holly.... dinner with new friends

Ken and I attended a dinner at Brew's in Granville to celebrate our friend Holly's birthday. Little did I know that there would be 7 other women in the group. Ken is a real pro and grew up with 6 sisters so he was fine with a big table of happy women. After we rushed downtown to attend Chris Lang's wonderful Felted landscapes of Ohio. Her brother had created a 4 minute video that I will try to share at a later date but the exhibit was stunningly beautiful. Then we had a few minutes left in the Art Walk and made an appearance at the Urban Art Gallery with their small exhibit of the Apocalypse Four Horsemen. Despite the smallness of the this exhibit the works pulled the viewer into the intimate works. I am very glad that we made it to all three activities ....these artists were all working to create a unique pieces to delight the viewers and hopefully future collectors. Unfortunately with it being a Holiday weekend ...the turnout was very small. I hope more members of the downtown community will be able to visit and see the works of these valiant creative people.

I began arranging the materials for tomorrow's lesson and hopefully the weather will continue to brighten and allow the sun to dry the farmer's fields so at least they might be able to plant their crops. I want to do some of my work and open my screen printing YUDU machine. I would like to learn as much as I can get started on some small practice exercises to maybe be able to work this experiment for our Summer Art week long workshops. Have a blessed weekend and be sure to thank the men and women who have defended our beautiful country. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
