Harvest Festival

Today was a blustery day...Maya Rose reminded me that she kept remembering Winnie the Pooh's blustery day. The sunshine was clear...the children were squealing with laughter and delight...my dear friend Chris Lang and her friends were spinning, carding and weaving with the pure , natural wool. The little sheep cooperated very nicely and the audience enjoyed learning and seeing the process of harvesting a natural fiber for natural living. The Civil War re-enactment and Civil War costumes were sprinkled throughout the courtyard ...Johnny cake was prepared over an open fire....and tiny pumpkins to decorate to a young artist's heart content. I am not sure who had more fun ...the little ones or their parents. I hope you enjoy the photos...art saves lives!
