Mel Brooks was alive and well in Newark, Ohio

Max Bialystock aka Dennis Kohler... and Leo Bloom aka Brice Corder were "The Producers" in the Weathervane Summer Theater here in Licking county and it was a rip roaring good time in Newark , Ohio. This Mel brooks Musical delighted the child like spirit I have been rediscovering lately in every way expected. I have seen the show in London, ...in Chicago,... and now here in Licking county Ohio!!! I was definitely entertained and totally loved their bawdy interpretation and was not one bit insulted...but I can bet that some of our population in the county may not get the humor.
Tonight the theater received a check for $25,000.00 from Larry W. Anderson in honor of his late wife's love of the life long learning and the encouragement of children in the theater arts. This production was directed by Erika Twining with musical direction from Cheridy Keller and choreography by Amanda Fannon. If you get the chance please check out this wonderful, delightful evening of total laughter and adult entertainment. Thank You all for your dedication and hard work...Art Saves Lives!!!

Happy Birthday Tony Reynolds ...president extraordinaire of the Licking County Arts! Ken wanted to play golf today with you but we could not make the connection...the weather was a perfect summer days for walking 18 holes. Happy Birthday dear Friend! You are so Loved!

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not to be a separate person,....however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." Edith Wharton In the last couple of days I have realized how precious our dear friends are in our circle of making a life. I need to get to bed...I have a million things to do tomorrow but live theater is further evidence that ART saves Lives! Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
