today was glorious....I miss my families on family night

Aimee is an instructor upstairs with COTC and always a pleasure...she has a special date tonight and I know they will have a great time....
Then Rita came over as I was opening my gate...to say she had signed for a package for me this morning...
I said I did not order anything...but the purple box said it all...a surprise from Ken...two dozen antique fragrance roses....a real surprise because we do not normally do this kind of celebration.
Everyone who was having lunch in the central gallery were all smiles as I carefully unpacked each rose....
Immediately the fragrance of these delicate roses filled the room...  simple pleasures are such great gifts.....
I asked Candice to make her own special Valentine card for her husband...everyone needs to remember their loved ones....even with a special little handmade gift...
My glasses were steaming ...I fought back the tears ...thank you Ken for such a glorious surprise....24 beautiful roses with the fragrance of Spring...
I told Larry to come back tomorrow... I am making a special Valentine for his beautiful wife who happens to love frogs...they are patiently waiting for their first child...
A mother and her daughter came in the studio ...to check out exactly what is happening here ...a studio is a place where one can make her sacred marks...her own art....
yes we did get snow  this morning...no it was not predicted but...anyone can become a weatherman..and it was beautiful...
the courtyard looks almost magical ....iced with fresh snow...
the inspirations found here in a photon of light...maybe a watercolor...a small painting...a print..
yes the courtyard is cold today...but the serenity is still present...
Mother Nature's white brushstrokes reveal quiet beauty...
my heart murmurs ...as the fragrance of beautiful roses wafts through my studio....
elegance personified...the beauty of the bloom...elegant and peaceful reminders of beauty...
the colors were so delicate ...I wish you could share the smell ...an elixir for my soul...
I need to work on an artist statement for Sunday's opening...seven artists working to create art as a special communication between creator and viewer...
I had a few surprises for Ken when he arrived home from school...Goummas gourmet chocolates ...a special card.. a dinner together ...

this is the card I made for ken....he does make my heart smile............yes we may be dinosaurs to some...we are still young at heart..........
I love Valentine cards....why not every day????
the day comes to a close...the snow is gone...and the roses seem to appear in the evening sky...maybe I am just more aware....
I wish you all beautiful soft pastel fragrant roses and a special handmade card filled with a sweet love....Imagine and Live in Peace,  Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
