The flurries were visible today...

The day began gray
The light gently eased into my view...
I felt the chill wrap around my body as I escaped the warmth of my small car...
The doors were easily opened as I entered the new found security of my studio space...my sacred space...
I realize I do not really want to be a gallery as people have grown used to my past experience
I want to just enter and enjoy my ...sacred work space that is free to be me... without censorship...
I want to be able to make my works and not do extraneous paper work and keep records for others.
Somehow this acknowledgement ...a personal realization that I do not have to work for someone else. Luckily I enjoy seeing my space as mine with the recognition I am responsible to make a go of this endeavor.
I was told by Marcia that my space was looking like a garage...but as a studio it is going to demonstrate process.:O)
Life is great.

  1. I love that you don't feel like you don't have to make work for anyone else. I feel the exact same way. Art for me is about filling my heart and soul.

  2. You should do what you are led to do with your space. I think this sounds wonderful!

  3. No snow yet here, which is okay by me. Wow, the space sounds exactly like what we all want - just a place to be and do. It is so refreshing to hear all about your creating community and a place for creative endeavor. Hats off to you. xox Corrine

  4. The way I look at it, I suppose, is that we worked very hard to get to this point in our lives. However, I admire so many young women these days, who have achieved the same liberty due to some wonderful, supportive people that surround them.

No snow here and none anytime soon....going to be in the 70's for the next few days...lots of sunshine and warmth...perfect weather!
