ten-ten-ten...this just sounds melodic...

I had a lot of rearranging to do for my guests arriving on Tuesday from Naples, Florida. But tomorrow I will head over to Ohio State University John and Christine Warner's Library and Student Center here in Newark, Ohio to help them install the Prayer for the Maasai Warrior Quilt in the student center. The time is early in the day and I have to get my medications to cooperate with me but this is a special honor for myself and my family in my hometown.

I am still experiencing the effects of the toxic cleaner in my eyes, throat and head. I did routine laundry and went outside in the warmth of Indian Summer and sat on the back step of our cabin. We had rented "Babies" from Netflix and it is the film that will capture your heart especially if you are a grandparent. I plan on working on some slow cloth tonight to settle my restlessness. Do you notice that if you fail to fill your creative vessel you soon discover an uneasy restlessness...be it painting..knitting...stitching or sorting mother of pearl buttons for adornment and embellishing your latest dream. "Art Wish" are two words I have laying on my studio table and it helps me to remember to make a wish each morning and be grateful for the time I have to create.

Michelle Channel created this little illuminated Unicorn for one of her COTC assignments...just lovely and there is a sense of grace in her hand work. Great job!

  1. Hi Mary, I'm up late (o dark early) catching up on your blog. It amazes me that you seem to be so constantly busy with people. I need to do more of that! I spend much of my time alone when I work. However next weekend I'm off to a retreat!

  6. Yes indeed Mary, I feel a great restlessness when I cannot fill my creative vessel. I'm what one would call super crabby. I get over it when I'm back to doing what I love.

Your description of the outdoors sounds wonderful!
