The future looks bright for us all.............

I had visitors in the studio all day.  Some children came in to see my "art stuff"...they were mesmerized by the multiple projects I have going on.  I had lunch with a real sweet friend...a cold cold day was perfect for Cindi's Cheese and Mushroom pizza...and the size is perfect to share.  We caught up on all the changes that are inevitable...and to encourage her to move forward....finish that job of photo restoration.  You will get paid and feel great because you have accomplished something you are great at creating.

We also waited ...to hear who would be our new pope...the man from South America...Argentina I think but I am sure the news will cover and give us all the details.  Two days of selection....I hope they have chosen a man who can bridge this growing gap of disillusioned Catholics.  I will not say any more...I want so badly to see the healing begin.

Cindi brought in her little Sophia...direct from the Barking Box.  This little Diva came in prancing and dancing like she owns the place.  What a dear little dog.  I fell in love with her smile...the bottom teeth always show when she is happy in Cindi's arms.

My beautiful student Katie came in to make her first video of me working in my studio.  Her mother and I had a quiet chat about several of my projects and some suggestions for Katie about the summer art camp opportunities.  She will learn so much from Jim Arter and Todd Camps.  After Katie finished her video...she could relax...so we walked around the work spaces I have set up.  I know our future looks bright with young artists coming up this generation.

Tomorrow I am working in the Open Studio with Chris Lang...her workshop is filled at the LCA on Saturday so if you failed to register you will have to check with her when she is working in the Open Studio on the third Thursday in April!  I have puzzle pieces...paints...sponges ...and photos from the National Geographic tours for artists and photographers.  I actually found some more texture boards at Goodwill tonight on the way home from dinner with Ken.  My students totally enjoy these easy to use and fast backgrounds that will ease anyone into losing their fear of the blank white sheet of paper or the blank canvas!

Cindi brought in the beautiful Sophia after she had a day of grooming at the Barking Box...
The teacher is explaining why they have to eat now so they can see the glass blowing demonstration at 1:00 o clock... she is a patient young woman dedicated to her students...
look at Sophia's beautiful smile....she is styling for the camera like a real pro....
Katie and Lisa arrived on time...I think Katie was a bit nervous so I allowed her to enjoy this process...
here we have a few more of the boys coming back in for information about working in the studio...ornery little creatures don't you think???
The first video is complete....now we can all relax ...check out his smile ...they both have birthdays this weekend!!!  Happy Happy Happy!!!!!!!!
I began working on the zebra frame of this jungle babies collage for the Doyles....
I found myself mesmerized by the tumultuous  sky scape over our haunted jail...I pulled over in the alley to get this quick moving sky....
to the north of my studio the sky was attempting to open up....but the winds were fierce....
the sunlight is prying through .... Spring is near by I am positive......... well I am hoping.....
the jail is a witness ...to the ever changing waves of the clouds.........

the daffodils are patiently waiting...waiting to open their delicate blooms... hurry up Spring!
I am praying for strength and persistent energy for my open studio time.  I also have some more work to complete for my Messy Monkeys activities coming up in April.  I am anxious to have the cold cold winds disappear and the daffodils to bloom.  Imagine and Live in Peace,  Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
