Home Safe and Sound on Sunday night....

Happy Retirement Deanie! We traveled about 5 hours crowded into Erin's Acura SUV three rows of seats ...to celebrate Ken's sister's retirement from 35 years of teaching. We picked up Erin, Cole, Morgan and little Lyndon around 7:30 am to make the arrival date and time of the surprise party. The trip was really uneventful but it is difficult on the smallest of travelers... little baby Lyndon was completely spent so I stayed behind from the party to soothe and cuddle my youngest so Erin and her Dad could see everyone in town for this celebration. When they came back he had had a great nap and was all smiles so we went to Great Grandma's house for s short visit. Lyndon had many changes in one week...he had ended breastfeeding, new teeth coming in and in a very strange room and surroundings where adults come in close and often talk very loud. We went back to the room and settled in but the night was frightful for Lyndon and he was up for two hours in the middle of the night screaming to the top of his lungs...I had Cole in my bed and Ken began walking the halls with Lyndon and Erin and Morgan found a few hours of refuge in our room. Morning came way too early but we made it after all we were able to get breakfast and stop by to say our goodbyes to the family members who were still in town and hit the road. I am reminded every day why the God above gives little ones to young people ...Grandpa and Grandma are totally exhausted !

I am working on my Inchie for "Book" due tomorrow...I had some difficulty with this one word. I for whatever reason kept returning to the mystery (at least to me) and the delightful illustrations of the book of the Tarot. I really do not understand this belief or even how it supposedly works but I have an old set of the cards and truly appreciate the beauty in the pictures on the cards. Let us see what develops as I work and finish my laundry. Family truly blesses each and every one of us. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
