a quiet mind..... a quiet summer Sunday

....with a silent voice and contemplation...I begin to sort some of my embellishment beads...visible pieces to give the work their voice....
I have to say I love my vintage glass vessels....Grecian...golden...etched... beautiful in their own unique ways....
fragile vessels that allow the light to shine through...reflective murmurs that will be added to a variety of colorful threads and yarns....
the buttons seem to be multiplying all by themselves....
this small dress form will become an assemblage for my now location for Whispers and Echoes studio...
 live....
love....
hope....
laugh.....

scrabble letters to play  new word games....
the glass table filled with more colorful buttons...bells....brass buttons....
my sculptural mannequins are ready to make the move....dear spirits I dress ...cloth...drape...  and talk to when necessary.  They are very gracious listeners.....
CDs books...bits and pieces as the quiet sorting continues...fragile messages guide me in quiet voices...
there is my handy dandy label maker....I am also planning on painting some beautiful paper tag board tags for the many baskets.....
 sunflower wishes....layers of play time....

I picked up this latest issue.... but I still have not had a chance to sit down and open to this delightful magazine....needle felting too!!!
more CDs....boxes of inks and stamp supplies....
my beautiful grand daughters Sabrina Leigh and Maya Rose have a quick lunch bite with me from Subways....
Maya Rose is sorting my nature magazines....
Sabrina is sorting small bits and pieces of paper work...very carefully...
Momma Tina....and Maya share plans....for the rest of the afternoon....
my wonderful art desk....I found this hand crafted work desk where I sort and store my art pencils for sketching...I found this beauty at my Goodwill store.  Thank goodness for my recycling urges...I help by recycling items often thrown away or discarded ....there are 8 drawers in this tiny work station...
the carts are on wheels and have a mosaic tile top...easy to use and wipe clean when one has a sud
den spill....

The walls are revealing their bareness...the place is looking empty...until the new vendors move in.  This is a wonderful location...plenty of traffic and curious visitors who seem to enjoy seeing how an artist works ...the processes...the complications...the time needed for drying or curing....well an artist journey shared in visible site for all to witness.  I am carrying upstairs a small load of art supplies with each trip.... one step at a time.  Imagine and Live in Peace,   Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  2. Meditative moving going on, your words about the vintage glass - I can picture all the things glistening inside. Brilliant and shining like you. xox

  3. I remember when you moved it in, piece by piece, box by box. Now, the journey continues in another direction. I am concerned that you keep an eye on your health. Please don't overtire yourself. Many hands will be available as they are now to help you with this move. :)Bea

  4. there is beauty in all things.....the rediscovery of bits and pieces, the rearranging of sacred spaces and the newness of the process. You have touched me with your blessing of "just objects" with artistic love for their use, their potential and their value. You are such a dear one. Oma Linda

  5. I am grateful to all of you for such kind gentle understanding. I am slowly gathering...sorting...re-evaluating...and sharing with others that might get to use before me. Yes I am tired...but by the end of this week I will be able to rebuild a nest ... an altar...a sacred place to create. I will also be close to Ken as he begins his in depth treatments.
