I am attempting to actually brand Erin's brand for Three Kids Kitchen.com on an antique crate for her specialized her displays.  I am learning patience patience ....patience.
Slowly I am gathering enough momentum to deepen the burning drawing tool.
When Aminah came out to observe the space for The Works Gallery we were immediately reunited as if the years had never existed.
Lynn Logan Grimes is the chief negoiator for making this exhibit come to fruition here in Newark,Ohio.
I shared a small quilt I made 10 years ago for The hats Off fund raiser.
She was very kind in her observations...what was I thinking to have her look at my humble quilt?  She was incredibly kind as I explained the people who were photographed in this story of The Works.
Celebrate the renewal of a woman's friendship...the journey goes on.  Aminah has blessed my life as an artist.
The dream has begun...great minds united to continue to relay a woman's amazing journey in her Art world.
an example of a ragamuffin...a story telling sculpture complete with her buttons and music boxes and memory clues.
a family presentation...a metaphor that entices the youngest viewers to come closer and examine her process.....
Aminah is known for her wonderful large hands...a cradle to rest a weary soul...
paintings that relate to each other....study closely and you will see the faces of weary women....
a trilogy of wisdom  captures in broad strokes ...listening to the ancestors...
the journey continues to the holy land..the Holy burial place...the journey of Faith...
this recycled large door is carved, painted , embellished and tells her story and move to Poindexter Village on the east side of Columbus...
hidden in plain view...faces reflecting a welcome....
the door is framed with faces and carved hands...
a sculpture with a gleeful smiling face...
mud holds the remnants of treasured buttons...clothespins...memories captured and presented...
the full view of the door creation...walk on in and sit right down...
Two Holy women... on a journey of Faith...
once again the large hands attract my eyes to come closer...stop by and for awhile...
 the map series are intriguing....
cloth, paper, drawings and paints...the conversation is almost audible....
Howard Lefevre is smiling down on us all...the gift of story telling and sharing the journeys with all generations.  I hope everyone gets a chance to visit and stay for awhile to soak in this amazing, loving woman's sacred marks.  Imagine and Live in Peace,  Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
