Today I put on my big girl panties ....

I went to our community bank...Park National and opened my business l.l.c checking and savings accounts for my Whispers and Echoes Studio. I have never done something like this before and Ken is being extremely supportive and allowing me to make the business decisions. I should have my credit management arranged hopefully for Miss Haley's opening on the 27th. I did have my granny panties ...big girl panties... on for moral courage. Haley will be down on Thursday so we can work together on the framing and hanging wires and such...she is so amazing...her work is amazing ...and her spirit glowing with positive energy. I went back to the studio and painted some bare wooden CD holders and a red wooden basket for carting supplies outside when weather permits. Tomorrow my little artists will return to sew...and stamp their clothes...make some nature rubbings... create their small collage frames...and whatever else come through our doorways. I do have some small wooden puppets that we can create a stylized outfit for the first day of school...Yum Yum!!! I am gathering some fun colorful buttons and threads to play with a running stitch ...I want to have plenty to offer so they can explore and giggle while their creations come to life. "To get through the hardest journey we need only take one step at a time....but we must keep on stepping." Chinese Proverb

I do need to get to the city building to take the next steps in opening a business...then off to the studio for set up and work stations... and make a lunch for me. Did I happen to mention that today was one of the most beautiful days of our summer. Maria Sinnsabaugh came into the studio with her daughter and two grand daughters from Vermont ...one of whom is college shopping...but it looks like Cornell is winning in her selection. Maria was so thrilled to see me in the space... and so appreciative of my slow cloth processes and raved over and over about my exhibit. I think all artists need a cheerleader in their corner ...especially since I am diving into a new venture and business. I will be so glad when I get it all moved into the studio...I feel I spend a lot of time moving things and labeling etc. I realized how blessed my life is.

I received my Eat, Pray, Love novel today from Amazon but when do I have the chance to read right now? The movie is getting a variety of reviews so I may save my money for HBO's release in about four months. Besides I need to work and work hard...NOW! 5. The Chinese Proverb "To get through the hardest journey we need only take one step at a time... but we must keep on stepping" is a great expression to live by who those strive to get to their goal. I’m glad you’re one of those who continue to tread towards yours, regardless of how many times you stumbled. The roads you’re headed for may be a bumpy, but that doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong track. Good luck with the journey, and stay inspired along the way!
