Today was a hot chocolate day.....and salad....

a icy seat...even for a sunny day...I love the way it is melting...almost a sly smile....
the icy fingers of melting icicles....somehow I find this fascinating...
I love the sunlight coming through the woven branches and ice....
the clear blue sky is breaking through....soft shadows play down the hillside....
imagine the sounds of tinkling drops of melting snow....

and still a small bit of summer is peaking through the snowfall....
soft shadows dance on the melting snow as young deer make tracks near my back door...
a snowflake exploration....6 little 8 year old friends gathered to have FUN with Sally!!!
look beyond the hillside ....crystal clean skies ...this would be fun to paint and then quilt with crystals...
my guardians...my hillside trees create my open cathedral...my favorite church....

conference time....how does your crystal look???

Susan and Joe served delicious cupcakes and two big candles.....
 Happy Happy Happy Birthday Sally!!!!
may all our dreams come true......
yummy yummy yummy.......
a collage of the canvases....wonderful snowflakes falling from the sky...
I love the jewels and sparkles demonstrated in this collaborative experience....
now it is time to chow down and then head over to the Works discovery lab..........
Happy Happy Happy 8 Miss Sally...

instead of presents she is collecting toys for tiny orphans when they visit Senegal at Spring break....
Clare and Peter share the ipad map ...demonstrating where Senegal is located.............
Hendrix came in for his afternoon visit....great hats!!!!
a kind of late Christmas exchange to two beautiful kids with inquisitive minds...........
Camille you are growing into such a lovely young woman.........
She receives a beading book and collector box complete with storage boxes and combinations for future designs...............
Hendrix is going to be designing airplanes and making Origami forms and creatures from a dollar bill...........
the caterpillar has a very complex instruction sheet..........
and a new soft fuzzy robe for a beautiful young girl  ... she is a STAR!

New Pajamas for Hendrix...beware of this grizzly bear on the front........

and tea in a wonderful tea box for Mom's studio work....
putting the assortments of pencils on a lazy Susan...for easy access......
 dancing mannequins.............
Yes this is my Christmas tree growing in my studio front window...until spring arrives.................
this Jade plant has done so well in my window...I will have to transplant it soon............
I think Camille is a real Star.  and I do think she likes her new robe............

I am re-basting my bottom of my quilt...I do not use a hoop and such so I have to be careful so the quilting will lay flat...........I hope you all have been blessed today.  Imagine and Live in Peace,  Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  2. Lovely snow pics. I always wanted to dye fabric with snow. I've never done it, just heard of it. Have you ever done it MH?
