Whew..........what a busy day....I am blessed!!!!

Lyn Logan Grimes was trying to eat her lunch...and Lisa and I begged a few minutes to share our ideas about this upcoming exhibit at The Works in January 2013.
Lisa is a trained journalist ...and more important her photography metaphors are her way to communicate her journey as an artist.  She reminds me of myself...she is in her 40's and changing directions midstream in her life.  A woman of of authenticity and intensity...come in January and see her vison unfold....
Lyn is deep in thought...shares some of the other artists participating....
Michelle is making arrangements for photo restoration ...from a couple who stopped by my studio when they were visiting from California...they thought Michelle was part of my studio but this will work for her new direction!
Listening intensely...more details are coming................
Today is Angry Birds third anniversary....Justin is allowing me to wear his wonderful new Angry Birds snow hat................
Kay is coming back when we have a chance to just ....sit and talk..............she is on a new journey herself............
Red and his beautiful bride came down for lunch and we shared a hug or two..................
Two more honeymooners came down with the Frosty Morning group...a wonderful couple who have supported my studio from day one...............they shared their 15 month old grandson who has fallen in love with parades and the joys of Christmas lights!
Justin ...practicing inside the box...before the wrapping is applied...thank you sir...you are a dynamite Jingle bell threader also...
Christmas cards in the beginning stages ...each child will also receive a hand made card to go with their ornaments..............
tomorrow night...we will plan on a snowman stencil technique...easier than last week's tree top angel...and a real crown pleaser...........

a shiny new Christmas bow is ready for the big gift box reveal!

I arrived early and YES I found my missing glasses in the studio on my wonderful messy work table.  Yes ...the chemo brain syndrome strikes again!  I am just grateful to have my real tri-focal lenses back in my head.  I began working on the 100 ornaments ...readying them for this Saturday's big Christmas hullabaloo party.  Our numbers are up to 72 children...yee gads we are going to spreading the holiday spirit around lavishly this weekend!  Michelle and her daughter Rosa  will be providing family portraits and fun Christmas photos with Santa Claus.  She decorated a huge gift box today and it is ready to make personal poses to treasure with family for years to come.  Abby and Justin came in to help me add the ribbons and jingle bells to the ornaments and finish the removal of the paper labels on the back...the glue is amazing!  That little Justin is a whiz at installing the ribons into the jingle bells and he works for candy canes!!!!  Lisa K came in and we met with Lyn Logan Grimes about our upcoming exhibit in January 2013 ...Collaboration and Communication through our Art mediums and text.  Lisa and I will be working with about 6 other artists ...who will also be introducing an emerging artist to our community.  Each artist is on a journey in solitude...but this is a unique opportunity for a recognized artist to introduce a new artist and their vision.  A dear friend came in...  Kay Denhardt...she came in to tell me that her husband had passed ...unfortunately I missed it in the newspaper and I felt her sorrow when she shared her new status and the loneliness ...I invited her to come back next week so we could just spend some time together and maybe have some lunch.  Kay is a retired Art teacher who have survived her own personal brain cancer issues.  The two couples from "Frosty Morning " came in for lunch...I miss the days when they would perform in the central gallery weekly.  They are an astonishing blue grass group...and a real joy for our community .   I went after the studio time and found some more jingle bells ...you can never have too many jingles in your life!!!!!!   Imagine and Live in Peace,  Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

P.S. Today is the Angry Bird anniversary...I think I need one of those wonderful hats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
