jay and his nephew...what a dynamic duo!!!

My body is in transition and I am living proof that Art Saves Lives.  My energy levels are low so planning is vital for ease of creation little tree topper angels.  I began around 5 PM and the little ones were ready to jump right in.  Lizzie asked me to ask Ken to bring Roxie down to the central gallery.  They have moved farther away and coming every week is more difficult with the costs of gas and such.  Roxie came in and ran around with her old friends...she was just as excited to see them.  Unfortunately for me... there was a larger turnout tonight with about 10 new children and with a much younger age group.  I never worked with so many 2 and 3 year olds...I enlisted the mothers and aunts to help in this complex process.  We were creating a special tree topper ...little Christmas angels.  Cone shaped body made from 3-D wall papers....styro-foam heads... variety of ribbons used to make wings and several containers of jeweled gems and Christmas cut-outs to add for individual designs.  I had to resort to using craft goop glue...the stinky stinky kind of glues...to put the supplies together.  I do think the photos tell a better story ...my mind is tired and typing is more difficult than usual.  Enjoy the show.
