Monday the final collection...and Tuesday 3 hours in the oncologist office....whew we are both tired.

Yesterday we finalized the collection and sorting for the move to the cabin in the woods.  I loved being in the Works environment and downtown but I just ran out of space and I need running water for my dye recipes.  The energy there was palpable ...and contagious with the energies of the smiles of patrons ...especially the children from the South End of Newark.  It was hot and humid...and the theme of thunderstorms in the afternoon continues...we had 8 inches of water to dump from a bucket on the back deck.  I can almost feel the mildew growing ....fungus and plain old humidity seems to cover us like a very wet blanket.  Neither one of us slept very much last night...but information is powerful.

The morning was a gift in so many ways.  We arrived early around 9:00 AM ...and three hours later we left with our heads and brains spinning.  We now know we have a plan...know the odds...have collected the gold markers  for surgery implants on 7/16...and then on 726 Ken returns for his alignment scans and a mold to help keep the radiation on target.  This procedure has improved greatly in the last 15 years and the specialists will recalibrate the alignment each day for 8 weeks along with hormone treatment that lasts for 6 months.  I hope I have gotten this information...  condensed enough.... and accurate  for easy understanding.  Ken and I are both extremely tired but positive that we have found a listening team working together to maintain a positive and active lifestyle for years to come.

Jennifer we will get together for a tea in your garden.......I hope I get to see you and your Evan......
I took my crochet sweater to work on ...and this is a conversational ice breaker as well as a meditative activity to pass the waiting time.  I told Ken I will teach him to crochet...it might calm his nerves.  We now have a rather large packet of information to peruse over the morning coffee before I get to moving "stuff" upstairs for relocation and assignment for the sewing room.  Ken and I have several plans to "Cook over the back burner" concerning the Whispers and Echoes Studio move to the cabin.  The possibilities of intimate...no more than 3 participants to come for workshops to create and dye and manipulate fabrics and materials.  I have had requests to perform this service...but not really having the running water and wet studio space downtown I found myself quite limited.  who knows where this journey will take me.

This move for you must be so bittersweet but wherever you land, you will make the world a more colorful and happy place.
