Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

What a glorious day here with sunshine and happy Mexican foods and music to bless the day. I made a chicken breasts in black beans , tomatoes, garlic, onions, and green peppers. We had a sour dough bread to dip and sop up the wonderful flavors in the sauce...yum yum yum! If I say so myself...I feel I have honored the Cinco de Mayo traditions.

Tonight I volunteered at the Midland Theater for a sold out show for Mr. Darius Rucker. This fine Southern gentleman never failed to please the audience with a great light show, fabulous band all from Nashville, and a special wide screen that allowed everyone to see even when the aisles were full of happy dancing fans. I am very tired and ever so grateful to meet such a kind and generous musician with a wonderful group of passionate musicians behind him. I worked in the studio but forgot to take my camera out most of them time. I guess I was just engrossed in the process of making my marks and sorting the design elements I need to complete a commission for our local Hospice. Have a great evening and sweet dreams. 1. I was at WAlmart and the local high school mariachi band was playing for Cinco de Mayo and also the local youth, under age 12, Folkorico group was dancing. It was wonderful to see such talent in the youth.

  4. Mary - the man in your photo - do you know if his name is Matt? He sure looks like someone I went to school with. He moved in after Ken left LHMS, but he married my best friend in school (Kellie Peters - Ken might remember her). I'm wondering if that is Kellie in black with her back to the camera.
