It was a clear Fall afternoon in October.... 1986
We were all living in very close quarters in an apartment in Westerville...
Our minister was Jerry Flowers...it seems like a perfect name for a man uniting us marriage...
Tina was 6 years old...Sherry was 7 about to be 8...Erin was also 7 about to be 8...
The cake came from Krogers and all the foods for an easy afternoon reception...
Our families came for the day... those who could... a short 20 minute ceremony...
In our small living room filled with roses...red...pink...coral... filled our small home with sweet fragrance...
We came together too pledge ourselves to our new family...
The odds were totally against us succeeding ...and yet we were filled with the afternoon's optimism..
Now after 25 years...we are together and I recognize how very blessed we have been...
Family is everything ...family is the only thing that matters...
Our children...our seven grandchildren... fill our hearts with pride and a renewed appreciation...
