Please save my trees. We are under a warning tonight until the wee hours of the morning. Outdoor furniture is secured...plants have been moved to safety...and the weather men are on all the major channels. I am sorting my design elements for a new project...continuing my crochet design on a cotton sweater....and praying for the very best tonight. I had a great gentleman come in the studio to say goodbye...he has been offered a very good job in homeland security over in Columbus. Mike is a great man with a connection with a higher power...he has warned me and others that our communications on the Internet are never really secured. Mike came to say goodbye to us all and we had a quiet moment to pray for Ken and his journey. He hugged our Jay...and asked us all to keep him safe from harm and ridicule...he gave Jay a strong hug and whispered an encouraging word or two in his ear. We need to embrace the change... reflect...trust and then move forward.
It was a Dad's day out with the little ones at The Works................Happy Father's Day!
Jay has been working very hard today to keep up with the dishes at The Grill Deli............
Jay is not ready to say goodbye...but we will take care of him...Mike has a wonderful opportunity for his family with this new job!
Cindy Kelley and Jodie hear the news...we all like this gentle giant when he comes in for lunch...we will miss his optimism....
We will all see each other again .....in the future....
at 2:00 PM the weathermen were making predictions...the conditions were building up steam for a rocky night of wild weather...
one final hug for Jay...........
look at all of these small tiny bits and pieces...for my card making........whew I have collected so many elements ...all for the playing my dear.............
Boxes are stacked...labeled...and ready to make the move....organization will prove to be more helpful...even though I have been pretty adept in finding the supplies I need.........
more sketchbooks....clear containers...smaller for small design elements..........
thank goodness for zip lock bags!!!!!!!!!!! letters made from wood....the beginning of the sewing materials move........
After I closed the studio I went to see Branson and to try to persuade his mother to allow him to attend the free drawing art classes once a week at the Newark Library. This family is struggling in so many ways...so I am hopeful Branson knows there is someone who believes in him. He is a teenage boy....hungry...he ate the rest of the ice cream last night. He is impulsive and does not always think things through...but he is still growing. It was a hot summer afternoon and I wish she would allow him and his brother ride their bikes to the YMCA for an afternoon of swimming, This would be a great outlet for all of his energy.
I came home today to a box delivered from a kind patron with fabrics, glass bulbs, Sculpey, Christmas diorama supplies....a bit of this and a bit of that. I know I am moving to be closer to Ken ...but I can always find a home for great art supplies. There are so many idle hands out there ...thirsty to make something creative!
Have a safe night...save my dear trees...and look forward to a cooler morning . Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

We are safe....as well as our children and grandchildren. Reynoldsburg had some very high winds...and lost power for awhile...but Erin and the babes are doing fine. It is cooler here and the sun is promised to come out this afternoon. Thank you all for your prayers. Off to pack! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
