Whew ....72 hours of busy studio times!

Can you see how swollen my neck is??  The Sjogren's Syndrome seems to be progressing quickly...swallowing is precarious at times...but my work goes on.
Yvonne Quarles sent me some pretty incredible play it forward  gifts...her paintings are wonderful and uplifting....look at those cranes!  I wear my Mona Lisa pendant blowing  pink bubble gum tied onto my studio apron.........
 Who is this swollen lady???
 Life goes on........
the clouds are breaking into a beautiful morning...cold but so beautiful!
Our favorite new Dad is counting the days until Baby Doyle arrives...........

My sweet Ken stopped by as he was running some errands before the March Madness begins for the day.........he is in heaven!
Michelle and Candice discuss their printing projects......both are spectacular camera magicians.........
I feel like God is ready to speak to me here.........maybe it is the influence of The Bible series running on TV right now..............

Here is the mysterious printer...full of inks...ready to print my images ...just as soon as we work out a few details.................Hurry up....Now.........

JoAnn made this pineapple from an actual pineapple she made a cast of in the studio......totally amazing......
here is JoAnn is working on the molten glass at the bench.........she is a powerful artist packed in a small package...........
her beautiful touches make her work identifiable...
I love this quote by Henry Moore........so powerful for me!

Sara is a young mother who will come back to COTC this summer...she began but had to stop for a short time to have her baby boy....her parents take care of her son so she can work on refining her drawing skills after being out of the classroom.......this is her Charlotte..Sara loves Manga works......

 Charlotte up close for details............
Mom and her son take advantage of the first day of Spring break visiting the Works..they are from Etna
I had a wonderful visit with the art teacher from the Christian school....I shared some of my ideas and working with a limited budget and recycling / re-purposing materials with her students.......I sent her over to the LCA and The Works...........
Monkeys Monkeys Monkeys ....for baby Doyle..........................................who is arriving very soon.
Speaking of babies...look what happened early this morning......sweet baby and protective Mom!  I cannot explain why but I love this time of year.they are so cute.
I gave him his very own small traveling art journal and some small and packable markers for his Spring break..
you can not see very well but he is experimenting and playing with Oil pastels.............and blending with soft cotton swabs....
he still has more layers to add......but he is distracted today so we went over to the glass studio to watch Larry Tuber blow a beautiful vessel.........
larry is explaining as he works with the molten glass and adds design elements....
Branson is mesmerized ...he said afterwards that he never tires from watching this delicate process....
Here is a very imaginative Robot made from bits and pieces in the Invention Lab....please remember to wear the safety glasses that are provided.........
 reheating for the glass base.....
now Branson wants to create here.........he is very curious......
this tiny one spokes English and Japanese as she asked questions about the glass studio..........
Here is a small list of opportunities offered here at The Works..........
samples of new works coming out of the annealing ovens for the opening on April 5th, 2013...................................
Larry prepares for the separation process so the vessel can enter the cool down ovens....
upstairs in the museum...we took in information about the inventors and their inventions here in Newark...........
the tandem bicycle was invented here.........
Branson explained each of the machine's integral parts.....for the steam engine............

  4. You are such a beautiful soul, arting where you live, living where you art. Everytime I think of you I think of Gen. 12:12, blessed to be a blessing. All of those folks around you, all you give to them and they give back such wonderful smiles and bits and pieces of themselves. I am in awe of your talent, your love and you. Oma Linda

  5. Thank you all for your loving kind support. Today I have made a dinner to go for Chance's 6th birthday....and have a whole bag of art stuff and a special art journal. I am planning on taking tomorrow off...the snow will have the roads a mess and I can work from home and get a bit more rest. You all make my heart smile. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
