Best laid plans...oh well there is always tomorrow....

Last night when I was reading my fellow blog writers Ken brought me an ice cream cone topped with peanuts. Yummy and then all of the sudden I felt a sharp pain ....heard a crack and knew immediately I had broken a major tooth. ( Number 13 if that means anything to you) My medications have really played havoc on the health of my teeth so there is not a lot to do except visit my friend my dentist John. He advised me that the root was still in my mouth and I would need an oral surgeon to remove it...on Thursday morning at 9 AM. I spent the morning in the dentist chair to ease the pain and make sufficient plans and preparations for Thursday. As I was leaving the office the skies opened up in torrential rains so I decided to go and buy the candies for tomorrow's Easter Egg Hunt for the Wednesday night street children. I thought it might help to just put my mind on something else....I will catch up with my dye project early tomorrow morning. Ken brought home some easy foods to eat...egg drop soup and Chinese stir fry ...easy to eat and not have too much trouble.

I am working on my felted "Gestation" piece while I was resting and re-cooperating from my mouth trauma. Tomorrow has got to be an improvement :0)! Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

P.S. Do you know what kind of mushroom this is???

  3. Jennifer moaned when I read this to her. She broke a tooth and spent all of Monday morning with an oral surgeon. While they had her out, they did all the work she needed done...4 wisdom teeth removed, one crown and fillings in other teeth. She said you could come and sit on the couch with her! Love to you and Ken...hope to see you soon. Vickie

    1. I am so sorry to hear about Jennifer's situation ...she is in my prayers. I will be grateful when the surgery is all done tomorrow. Give the patient a hug for me...I have been creating at Dawes almost daily and still have so much to complete for this project. Happy Easter dear friends. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  4. Oh...I have a deathly fear of the dentist (or anything clinical really, even the eye doctor!) but I hope that what you are going through will get better on Thursday. I am dealing with my Uncle dying right now. Today is a visit to the mortuary. I am not looking forward to this day at all. Loss is so hard!

    1. Another day and hopefully this will be all taken care of. It is amazing how a tooth can change the outcome of your day! I thought it was a morel mushroom but was afraid to eat it...Ken thought it might be poisonous. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
