Monday with Laura....revisions and possibilities....
Today I met for a couple hours with Laura as we revised the written proposal for this unique installation to be completed in the next 120 days. I shared my collection of SETA colors that I have purchased and explained how they might be employed in the very near future. I also got out the remaining procion mx dyes to begin playing with the dyeing projects. I need to review my recipes and begin the solutions and potions to make the magic happen. I have been contacted by a couple of my artist friends who want to come and help create the 75 panels. Hopefully I will use some of the Golden Glazes as a top coat pearl finish to add to the luminance of the colors. I have had another artist contact me about coming up and helping in the dye process. The more preparation I can get completed the easier the lesson developments will become. Tomorrow the first of the orders should arrive if they can weather the snowstorm that is predicted...it is more the icy roads that will hinder the delivery ...we have one hell of a driveway :0)!
I made a nice roast with baked potatoes, carrots with button mushrooms for tomorrow's dinner. ken is just beginning to get his strength back so I think we can avoid the big Holiday hullabaloo in the restaurants and crowds. I am so fortunate to have Ken feeling better after three weeks of the crud!!!!
I need to get back to my pure, white cottons...the laundry is done and calling. Blessings, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
p.s. I am the original Newark Material Girl!!!!....smiling :0)!
