Say a prayer for the gentle people of Tucson....

I have had a stomach virus today and spent the day resting and taking some extra vitamins C and orange juice. Late in the afternoon I coherent enough to hear about the shooting of Gabbie Gifford...congress woman from Arizona. When I heard it was the Safeway on Oracle I recognized that this was very close to my friend's Yarn Shop and close to her home. I called her and we were disconnected a couple of times...the lines were complex and involved but I was assure that Cyd and Matt were fine...just a little shaken like the rest of the community. My fever seems to make it all the more surreal... Nineteen people shot in about 8 seconds before he was tackled down to the ground and disarmed. I am still in a state of shock and hopefully in time the news will express the horror of this tragic event without making it a glorified movie of the week. May we all find peace in our homes tonight and pray for a complete recovery for those still hanging onto Life.

Lord make me an instrument of Peace.

  1. So unbelievable and so SAD that people in our country have de-evolved to this level.....DH and I were just sort of numb as we discussed it.
    What can you say? Horror.
Sending hugs hoping you are feeling better....

  4. I use to live in Tucson and miss being there sometimes, I know where this is. So, yes prayers go out to all the family members who had family there that were hurt or now pass away. Life is short, make the most of it, and add kindness, and sweet words when we can.
